About Steve Lysenko, Ed.D.
Steve Lysenko has over 24 years of experience in public education in the Greater Rochester Area. Currently, Steve teaches Science 8 and Bilingual Science 8 at Northwest Middle School at the Frederick Douglass Campus in the Rochester City School District. To read his CV, click here.
Previously, he has been a school administrator, enrichment specialist, and science teacher in other districts including Webster, Bloomfield, and Spencerport. Presently, Dr. Lysenko serves on the board of directors of NAME (The National Association for Multicultural Education), an all-volunteer international not-for-profit organization committed to fighting for diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in our schools. He earned his doctorate from St. John Fisher University's Executive Leadership Program in 2023. To read his dissertation, click here.
Steve and his wife Jennifer reside on Park Avenue with their two dogs, Leo and Odie. They are parents of five children and doting grandparents to their 1-year-old granddaughter.
